Art Walk

Our art walk was created in 2011 with the participation of former residents of the ASB Residential Center. Using various sources such as daily newspapers, chronicles, architectural guides, and online encyclopedias, they compiled extensive content on a total of 20 different objects in and around the park. They also offered tours of the park to interested listeners.
A brochure entitled “Art Walk through the Park of the Victims of Fascism in Chemnitz” was also produced, which presents the stations in detail with illustrations, so that the tour can also be done independently of a guided tour.
This digital guide adds a new dimension to the art walk. On the one hand, the walk is digitized and can theoretically be taken from home, and on the other hand, the stations with corresponding image
descriptions are also accessible to people with visual impairments. We present the stations one after the other, just as one would take the tour through the park, starting at the ASB Residential Center.
